With winter coming upon us in North America, I have noticed peoples skin a little whiter, and everyone a little sicker. Unfortunately, with the cold wet weather we tend to stay inside or run as quick as we can from warm place to warm place. Our greatest energy source becomes forgotten this time of year, the SUN.
In our day and age, it’s a faux-pas for women and men to go outside without sunscreen facial lotion on. It’s unheard of going outside for long periods of time without sunscreen on. It’s true the cancer rate is on the climb, but our body is missing the true sunlight and what it does for us- Vitamin D. Now we all should take our supplements or daily vitamins or drinks with Vitamin D, but I think our bodies are missing the actual Sun Light!
Her’s some info on the importance of Vitamin D http://health.howstuffworks.com/wellness/food-nutrition/vitamin-supplements/vitamin-deficiency-study.htm
Scientists are saying we are lacking Vitamin D and we need more of it as we grow older. Supplements are a huge help, but I am making a personal plea for people to sit in the sun for 15-20 minutes a day! Just experience the wonderful heat and energy directly from the sun, do a little sun gazing (not too long and don’t look directly at the sun, just look around it) and sun bathing all year long. Make a point to walk in the sun even on HOT days, your body needs it. It will help your bones and your digestive system just by getting a little free sunlight.
If you are really lacking, Rieki or energy healing can help too! A little extra energy in your body will help make your body flow.
Sunlight is one of our greatest free gifts/ resources so get outside and get yourself some!
